Best non-profit tech links: November 2017

We’re a little late with our November round-up, mostly because WordCamp US just took place over the weekend so we were a bit preoccupied and we wanted to be timely by covering it. Aside from WordPress related news, another focus this month is data because with #GivingTuesday behind us your non-profit probably gathered quite a bit of data from donors and now you ought to make sure that all that data is safe. And, of course, we always focus on web and tech content that will serve your non-profit since that’s what we know and love.

  • Matt Mullenweg: State of the Word 2017
This is the big one, Matt’s presentation about what WordPress has accomplished in the last year and where we’re going next year. Not too much technical stuff here lots of info about Gutenberg, the new editor. And it was also great to get a shout out for our own do_action_mtl hackathon!
  • WordPress 4.9 “Tipton”
Your friendly PSA, new core update was released next month (along with a 4.9.1 security patch) – make sure your non-profit’s website is all up-to-date.
  • The Month in WordPress: November 2017
And if you want to go a little deeper, has you covered for more WordPress news from last month.
